Relaxed maternity photography at home and outdoors for mums, couples and growing families across Glasgow and Scotland.
Your maternity session can be just for you, or it can include your partner, children and the people who are already part of this chapter.
Because pregnancy doesn’t last forever, even when it feels like it will.
Your first pregnancy and your fourth can feel completely different.
But each one marks the end of one version of your family before another begins.
Soon there will be another little person in your photographs, another hand to hold, another place around the table.
That is why I think this part deserves to be photographed too — not because pregnancy always feels magical, but because it will never look exactly like this again.
More than a photoshoot
✓ You want to slow down for a little while and focus on each other before life changes.
✓ You’d like an experience you’ll remember, not just photographs you’ll receive.
✓ You don’t feel confident in front of the camera but still want beautiful images.
✓ You want your pregnancy documented in a natural and meaningful way.
✓ You believe the best photographs come from real moments rather than perfect poses.
There is no right setting for a maternity photoshoot.
Some women want open space, golden grass, a beach or the Scottish landscape. Others want to stay at home, especially later in pregnancy when everything feels a little slower.
I offer both outdoor maternity photography across Glasgow and Scotland and in-home maternity sessions in Glasgow and surrounding areas.
Outdoor sessions can take place in woodland, countryside, on the coast or somewhere further into the Scottish landscape.
I help choose a location based on the season, light, privacy, weather and — most importantly — how much walking feels comfortable for you.
Your house does not need to be large, perfectly decorated or completely tidy.
One bedroom, the sofa or a quiet space beside a window can be enough.
An in-home maternity session is private, slower and particularly lovely if you want photographs that feel connected to everyday family life.
Most women I photograph tell me they feel awkward in front of the camera or have no idea what they are supposed to do.
You do not need to know.
I will guide you throughout the session with simple movement and small adjustments, rather than holding you in stiff poses.
Sometimes we walk. Sometimes you sit with your partner, hold your bump, talk to your children or simply have a quiet minute to yourself.
I work around how you feel on the day.
A maternity photoshoot does not need to be only about you and your bump.
Partners, older children and dogs can all be part of the session.
If you already have children, I do not expect them to cooperate for an hour or pose perfectly. They can come and go, cuddle you, explore, play and take a break when they need one.
For me, this is as much about the family waiting for the baby as it is about the pregnancy itself.
You absolutely do not need a maternity dress for your photographs.
Your own jeans, knitwear, skirts or simple dresses can work beautifully if they still feel like you.
But if you would like something different, you are welcome to borrow from my Client Wardrobe, with maternity dresses selected specifically for photography.

You can use your own clothes or borrow from the Client Wardrobe. I can also help coordinate outfits for your partner and children.
You will not arrive and be left wondering what to do. I guide you throughout while keeping the session natural and relaxed.
Every maternity session looks a little different.
Some are quiet sessions at home. Others involve children running through long grass, a walk along the coast or a drive further into Scotland.

I’m Kinga, a Glasgow family photographer and mum of three.
I have photographed more than 400 families over the past ten years, through pregnancies, new babies and all the different versions of family life that follow.
I know pregnancy does not always feel glamorous. You can be excited and uncomfortable, confident one day and completely exhausted the next.
You do not have to perform any version of pregnancy for me. We photograph the one you are actually living.

“We had two sessions with Kinga – maternity and newborn and we can not recommend her enough! She is the right person in the right place! Passionate about her work and very professional! Kinga has a wonderful approach to people, especially children, and shows so much patience during the session. We are very pleased with the result. A beautiful souvenir for life.”

For many women, somewhere between 28 and 36 weeks works well, but there is no single perfect week. It depends on your bump, your energy and how you are feeling.
Not necessarily. If you are already 35, 36 or 37 weeks pregnant, get in touch. If I have availability, I am happy to organise a last-minute maternity session.
Yes. Partners and children are very welcome, and they can join for all or part of the session.
