The session was a part of one of my most popular photo packages completed by newborn photographer Glasgow: Bump to Baby. For the first time I met with Emily’s parents, Sylwia and Max, at the beginning of June. After more than a month of waiting for a partial lifting of quarantine restrictions. It was an outdoor pregnancy session. Emily was still a wee bump. In early August Emily was born, so we met again for the second part. 

This time, photos were taken in her home when she was only 10 days old. That type of session – the home one – is primarily a great opportunity and comfort for young mothers who are still recovering after a childbirth. And for a baby who is often just getting to know the world around them and sleeps a lot. These photographs, saturated with the tenderness and emotions of the child’s parents, are to become the vital part of the family photo album which will be one of the family’s treasures. I caught those smiles and looks into the camera lens with real pleasure.
