Terms & Conditions

Family Photography Glasgow

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Thank you for choosing Family Photography Glasgow.

These Terms & Conditions explain how photography bookings work, including payments, cancellations, rescheduling, image selection, editing, delivery and the use of your photographs.

Please read these terms before confirming your booking.

1. About My Business

Family Photography Glasgow is a photography brand operated by Kinga Szulz, a self-employed photographer trading as Kinga Szulz Photo Lifestyle.

Business name: Kinga Szulz Photo Lifestyle
Trading brand: Family Photography Glasgow
Photographer: Kinga Szulz
Address: 7 Blochairn Place, Glasgow, G21 2EB, United Kingdom
Website: https://familyphotographyglasgow.com
Email: info@familyphotographyglasgow.com

These Terms & Conditions apply to maternity, newborn, family and other private photography sessions.

Special offers, mini sessions, events and commercial photography may have additional terms, which will be communicated before booking.

2. Booking Your Photography Session

A £59 booking fee is required to reserve your photography session.

This payment secures the agreed date and time in my diary and is deducted from the total cost of your photography collection.

The booking fee is normally non-refundable if you choose to cancel your session, subject to applicable statutory cancellation rights and the fairness provisions explained in Sections 5 and 6.

A booking is confirmed when the booking arrangements have been agreed, the booking fee has been received and confirmation has been sent.

An enquiry alone does not reserve a date.

For newborn photography booked before the baby’s arrival, a provisional period may be reserved around the expected due date. The final session date will be arranged after the birth, depending on availability.

3. Photography Collections and Minimum Spend

The minimum spend for a standard photography session is £259.

This includes the initial £59 booking fee.

The remaining £200 must be paid after your photography session and before access to your private preview gallery is provided.

The minimum spend includes the photography session and the smallest available collection, as described in the pricing information supplied before booking.

You do not need to choose your final collection when booking.

After paying the minimum amount of £259, you will receive access to a private preview gallery.

You can then decide whether to keep the smallest collection or upgrade to a larger collection.

If you choose a larger collection, you will only need to pay the difference between the £259 already paid and the price of your selected collection.

Any upgrade balance must be paid before the additional photographs or products are prepared and delivered.

Collection contents and prices will be confirmed before booking.

4. Payment Terms and Additional Photographs

Payments are made in the following stages.

Stage 1: Booking

A £59 booking fee is paid to reserve your session.

Stage 2: After your session

The remaining £200 is paid, bringing your total payment to the minimum collection price of £259.

This payment is required before your Safe Frame preview gallery is released.

Stage 3: After viewing the preview gallery

You can remain with the smallest collection or upgrade to a larger collection.

If you upgrade, the additional balance is payable before the upgraded order is processed.

Additional edited photographs

Individual photographs can be purchased in addition to those included in your chosen collection.

Each additional professionally edited digital photograph costs £20.

You can select additional photographs individually without having to upgrade to another collection.

Payment for additional photographs must be completed before those photographs are edited and delivered.

Additional prints, products, travel charges and postage are charged separately where applicable and agreed.

No additional products or services will be charged without your agreement.

If payment is outstanding, gallery access or delivery may be withheld in accordance with the agreed payment terms and applicable law.

5. Cancelling Your Photography Session

I understand that plans can change, especially when young children, pregnancy or illness are involved.

If you need to cancel your booking, please contact me as soon as possible.

The £59 booking fee reserves time in my diary that may no longer be available to another family.

For this reason, the booking fee is normally non-refundable when a client chooses to cancel a confirmed session, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Any amount retained must be fair and proportionate to the reasonable costs or losses directly resulting from the cancellation, taking account of any opportunity to rebook the date.

If the amount I am entitled to retain is less than the booking fee, the appropriate difference will be refunded.

If you have already paid additional amounts for services that have not been provided, any refund will be assessed in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Where statutory cancellation rights apply, they take priority over these arrangements.

If you would prefer to move your session rather than cancel, please see Section 7.

6. Statutory Cancellation Rights

Depending on the circumstances, bookings made online, by email or telephone may be subject to the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Where these regulations provide a statutory cancellation right, the relevant cancellation period and refund requirements will apply.

Certain services connected with leisure activities booked for a specific date may qualify for an exemption. Whether an exemption applies depends on the nature and circumstances of the booking.

Any applicable statutory cancellation rights or exemptions will be explained before your booking is confirmed.

If you ask me to begin providing services during an applicable cancellation period, any amount payable for services already provided will be determined according to the relevant legal requirements.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes your statutory consumer rights.

7. Rescheduling Your Session

I understand that illness, pregnancy-related circumstances and unexpected family situations can make it necessary to change plans.

If you need to reschedule, please contact me as soon as reasonably possible.

You may request up to two changes of session date without an additional rescheduling charge, subject to availability and reasonable notice.

Your existing booking fee will normally be transferred to the new agreed date.

All new dates must be confirmed by both parties.

Further client-requested changes may require a new booking arrangement or an additional reasonable charge, where appropriate and permitted by law. Any such charge will be explained before you agree to it.

Very late changes and repeated missed appointments will be considered individually.

Rescheduling because of unsuitable or unsafe weather, where agreed with me, does not count towards the two client-requested changes.

If I need to reschedule your session, I will offer a suitable alternative wherever possible.

If I cannot provide the agreed service and a suitable alternative cannot be arranged, you will receive an appropriate refund in accordance with your statutory rights.

8. Weather Conditions and Outdoor Sessions

Outdoor photography sessions depend on weather conditions and natural light.

Cloudy weather is often ideal for photography, and light wind or occasional light rain will not necessarily require rescheduling.

However, heavy rain, strong winds, unsafe weather conditions or other circumstances affecting safety or the quality of the session may require a change of plans.

I will discuss the available options with you, including changing the time, location or date.

Sessions postponed because I consider the weather unsafe or unsuitable can be rescheduled without an additional booking charge.

Weather-related postponements agreed with me do not count towards the two discretionary client-requested rescheduling opportunities.

If weather repeatedly prevents the session from taking place, we will discuss reasonable alternative arrangements, taking account of our respective rights and obligations.

Seasonal colours, sunshine, sunsets and specific natural lighting conditions cannot be guaranteed.

9. Arriving Late for Your Session

Please arrive at the agreed meeting location on time.

If you think you may be late, please contact me as soon as possible.

Photography sessions are scheduled for an agreed duration, and the session time begins at the confirmed appointment time, unless we agree otherwise.

If you arrive late, the session may need to be shortened to avoid affecting other bookings or commitments.

I cannot guarantee that time lost due to late arrival can be added to the end of the session.

If you are more than 30 minutes late, I may be unable to complete the session as planned.

Depending on the circumstances, available daylight and my schedule, I may offer a shorter session, arrange a new date or, where the session can no longer reasonably proceed, treat the appointment as missed.

Any financial consequences of a missed appointment or cancellation will be fair, proportionate and subject to applicable consumer law.

I understand that unexpected delays happen, particularly with babies and young children, and I will always try to find a reasonable solution where possible.

10. During Your Photography Session

My photography style is natural and relaxed, focusing on genuine interactions rather than constant posing.

I provide guidance where needed while allowing families and children to move and interact naturally.

Session duration varies depending on the type of photography booked.

Newborn sessions allow additional time for feeding, changing and settling the baby.

If your child needs a break, I will make reasonable adjustments to the pace of the session.

Parents and guardians remain responsible for supervising their children during the session.

Clients are also responsible for the appropriate supervision and handling of any pets.

Please let me know in advance about accessibility needs, practical arrangements or circumstances that may affect your session.

I will provide photography services with reasonable care and skill.

11. Photography Style and Expectations

By booking a session, you acknowledge that you have had an opportunity to view my portfolio and understand my general photographic style.

My work focuses on natural light, movement, genuine expressions and family connections.

Every session is different.

The photographs produced will depend on the location, weather, available light and interactions during the session.

I will make reasonable efforts to capture requested photographs, but I cannot guarantee specific expressions, poses or moments, particularly when photographing babies and young children.

The final selection and editing reflect my professional judgement and established photographic style.

Extensive retouching, body alterations or specialised editing may incur additional charges where agreed.

These terms do not affect your statutory rights to services provided with reasonable care and skill.

12. Preview Galleries and Image Selection

After your photography session and payment of the £259 minimum collection price, I will prepare a private preview gallery using Safe Frame.

The preview gallery contains photographs prepared for viewing and selection.

These are not original RAW files and have not received the full editing applied to purchased final photographs.

Your preview gallery will remain active for seven days from the date the gallery link is sent.

During these seven days, you can view the photographs, choose your preferred collection and select the images you would like edited.

Selections should be completed within this period.

After seven days, access to the preview gallery will expire, unless an extension has been agreed in advance.

If you need additional time, please contact me before the gallery expires.

An extension may be offered depending on availability and my current workload.

If no selection is made within the agreed period, this may delay editing and delivery.

Preview photographs remain the intellectual property of Kinga Szulz and are provided for viewing and selection only.

They must not be downloaded, screenshotted, copied, distributed or otherwise reproduced without permission.

Safe Frame provides technology intended to reduce unauthorised copying, although no online platform can guarantee complete prevention.

13. Choosing Your Final Collection

Once you have viewed your preview gallery, you can decide which photography collection you would like.

You can remain with the minimum £259 collection or upgrade to a larger option.

The minimum £259 has already been paid before the gallery is released.

If you select a more expensive collection, you pay only the additional balance.

You may also purchase additional individual edited photographs for £20 each, without upgrading your collection.

The number of edited photographs, any unedited images, prints and other products included depends on the collection selected.

Any unedited files included in a collection are supplied in the specified format and are not original RAW files unless explicitly agreed otherwise.

Image selections should be confirmed within the seven-day gallery access period or an agreed extension.

14. Editing and Delivery Times

Once you have completed your image selection and any outstanding upgrade payment has been received, I will begin the final editing process.

The standard editing and delivery time is approximately four to six weeks from the date your final selection is confirmed.

During particularly busy periods, including autumn and seasonal photography periods, editing may take longer than six weeks.

If a longer timeframe is expected, I will communicate this as soon as reasonably possible.

Orders involving a larger number of photographs may also require additional editing time.

If your collection includes printed photographs, USB products or other physical items, production and delivery may take longer.

Print orders depend on the processing and delivery times of the professional printing laboratory.

Any specific delivery deadline that is essential to you should be discussed and agreed before booking.

I will provide services within the agreed timeframe or, where no fixed deadline has been agreed, within a reasonable time, in accordance with applicable consumer law.

Final edited digital photographs are delivered through Pixieset.

15. Final Galleries and Downloads

When your photographs are ready, I will send you a link to your private Pixieset gallery.

Your completed gallery will remain accessible for three months from the date the final gallery is delivered.

During this period, you may download your purchased photographs.

I recommend downloading all files promptly and keeping backup copies in more than one secure location.

After the three-month period, access to your gallery may expire or the gallery may be removed.

Restoration after expiry is not guaranteed.

Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

16. Storage of Photographic Files

I do not retain all photographic files indefinitely.

My usual retention periods are:

Original RAW files

Original photographic files are normally retained for up to two months after the completed photographs have been delivered.

Edited photographs

Reduced-resolution copies of completed photographs are normally retained for up to six months after delivery.

Final online galleries

Final Pixieset galleries remain accessible for three months from delivery.

Preview galleries

Safe Frame galleries are accessible for seven days from the date the preview link is sent, unless an extension is agreed.

Certain photographs or related records may be retained for longer where necessary to meet legal obligations, manage disputes or support lawful portfolio use.

Third-party gallery providers and backup services may apply separate data retention arrangements.

Please refer to the Privacy Policy for further details.

17. Colours, Editing and Printing

All purchased photographs are professionally edited using my established editing process and the colour settings of my editing equipment.

The completed digital files reflect the colour, exposure and editing decisions made during my professional workflow.

I cannot guarantee that photographs will appear identical on every phone, tablet, laptop, computer monitor or television.

Different devices may display variations in brightness, contrast, saturation and colour temperature.

I also cannot guarantee identical colour reproduction when clients arrange printing independently through third-party laboratories, home printers or other printing services.

The results of independent printing may vary depending on the printer, paper, colour profiles and laboratory settings.

For the most consistent professional print results, I recommend ordering prints through the professional printing services I use.

If prints supplied directly through Family Photography Glasgow are faulty, damaged or do not meet applicable consumer standards, your statutory rights remain unaffected.

18. Prints, Collection and Postage

Some photography collections include professional prints, USB drives or other photographic products.

The specific products included depend on the collection selected and the pricing information agreed before booking.

Print orders are placed after the relevant image selections have been confirmed.

Production and delivery times vary depending on the printing laboratory and the products ordered.

Delivery of physical products may take longer than delivery of digital photographs.

Collection in person is free of charge, by prior arrangement.

If you prefer your printed photographs or other physical products to be posted, a £6 postage and packaging fee applies per order.

Any additional delivery charge for destinations requiring special arrangements will be discussed and agreed in advance.

Personalised products may be subject to different statutory cancellation rights from standard goods.

If an item arrives damaged, defective or not as described, please contact me so that an appropriate remedy can be arranged in accordance with your consumer rights.

19. Travel and Location Charges

Standard photography sessions include travel to locations within a 10-mile radius of G21 2EB, Glasgow.

For locations beyond this 10-mile radius, an additional travel charge applies.

The travel charge is £1 per mile, calculated using the full return journey from G21 2EB to the agreed photography location and back.

Both the outward and return journeys are included in the mileage calculation.

For example, if a location is 15 miles from G21 2EB, the total return journey is 30 miles and the additional travel charge is £30.

Travel distances are calculated using a reasonable road route.

The total travel fee will be confirmed before the booking is finalised, so you know the full cost in advance.

Some locations may also require entrance fees, photography permits or parking charges.

Any additional costs payable by the client will be explained and agreed in advance.

20. Client Wardrobe

A selection of clothing, including maternity dresses, may be available for clients to borrow during their session.

Availability depends on the session type, garment and individual circumstances.

Clients are asked to treat borrowed clothing with reasonable care.

Normal wear arising from appropriate use is expected.

If clothing is significantly damaged through misuse or negligence, I may request a reasonable contribution towards repair or replacement where appropriate and permitted by law.

21. Copyright and Personal Use

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, copyright in photographs created by Family Photography Glasgow remains with Kinga Szulz.

When you purchase your photographs, you receive permission to use the delivered images for personal, non-commercial purposes.

This includes:

  • Downloading and saving purchased photographs.
  • Printing photographs for personal use.
  • Sharing them with family and friends.
  • Posting purchased photographs on personal social media accounts.

Photographs may not be sold, commercially licensed, used in advertising or supplied to another business for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

Commercial use requires a separate agreement.

Preview images that have not been purchased may not be copied, downloaded or used without permission.

22. Permission to Publish Photographs

I respect the privacy of my clients and their families.

Permission to use your photographs for marketing purposes is not required as a condition of booking.

I ask for appropriate permission before using client photographs in my portfolio, website, social media, blog or promotional materials.

If permission is not given, I will not intentionally publish the photographs for these purposes.

Where consent is the legal basis for publication, you may withdraw it by contacting me.

I will respond to withdrawal requests in accordance with applicable data protection law.

Images already copied, cached or independently distributed by others may not always be fully recoverable.

I take particular care with photographs of babies and children.

Please refer to my Privacy Policy for further information.

23. Unexpected Circumstances and Technical Problems

I take reasonable precautions to maintain my photographic equipment, protect image files and provide the agreed services.

However, unexpected circumstances may occur, including serious illness, unsafe weather, equipment failure, venue closures or technical problems.

If an unexpected event prevents the session from taking place, I will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to discuss alternative arrangements.

If photographic files are damaged or lost, I will take reasonable steps to investigate and recover the files where possible.

If the agreed service cannot be provided, appropriate remedies will be discussed, including a replacement session or refund where required.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits your statutory consumer rights.

24. Website Use

Unauthorised copying, reproduction, distribution or commercial use of website content is not permitted except where allowed by law.

25. Privacy and Personal Information

Personal information collected through bookings, enquiries, galleries and newsletter subscriptions is processed in accordance with the Family Photography Glasgow Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection law.

This includes information relating to the storage, sharing and delivery of photographs.

The Privacy Policy is available on my website.

26. Consumer Rights and Complaints

I aim to provide professional photography services and clear communication throughout the booking process.

If you have concerns about a booking, session, photographs or products, please contact me so I can investigate and work towards an appropriate resolution.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, services must be provided with reasonable care and skill.

Where a service, product or digital content does not meet applicable legal requirements, you may be entitled to statutory remedies.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions removes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.

27. Changes to These Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions may be updated from time to time.

The latest version will be published on my website with the relevant revision date.

Updates generally apply to new bookings after publication.

Existing confirmed bookings remain subject to the terms agreed when the booking was made, unless changes are mutually agreed or required by law.

28. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by Scots law, subject to applicable mandatory consumer protections.

Nothing in these terms restricts any rights concerning the courts or legal remedies available to consumers under applicable law.
